TDMA 50 is used to stabilize middle distillate by sequestering metal ions, mostly introduced acids generated in middle distillate and Biofuels by oxidative process with the metallic part of systems.

TDMA 50 inhibit the catalytic effects of metal ions, especially copper, retarding the formation of gummy residues.

TDMA 50 used for gasoline, middle distillate is N,N’ –Disalicylidene-1,2 propanediamine ( CAS number : 94-91-7) in solution in an organic solvent and provides advantages as:

- Longer storage times, less sediment

- Deactivation of existing metal ions in middle distillate and protection surfaces against new ions creation.

TDMA 50 does not modify middle distillate characteristics (cold properties colour, etc.) and does not affect the additives and markers normally used to treat middle distillate.
